Tomography - Introduction
Tomography shows the transversal density profile of an equipment.
Its allows the evaluation of the distribution of the process in the packing beds on distillation columns and on chemical reactors. The technique is usually performed to further study the distribution profile previously evaluated by a Grid Scan.
Risers from catalytic cracking units, pipes, demisteres, packing beds are the most common types of equipment to be evaluated.
Tomography - Advanced caracteristics
In practice, the ideal conditions for employing traditional methods of industrial tomography do not always exist, as real equipment has interferences and access limitations. Tricom employs an innovative method that is not affected by these factors.
